Different types and grades of steel pipes are widely used at present in the country for various purposes including conveyance of water and steam. Keeping in mind that pipes are exported to various countries and also the fact that sockets are imported from other countries, this Tanzania Standard has been formulated with all dimensional specifications such as screw threads, outside diameters of the pipes, etc. in line with the latest international practices
