TZS 162:2013 Jams, jellies and marmalades — Specification
Jams, jellies and marmalades are fruit products which are preserved with sugar. Their differences are determined by the degree of jelly attained during preparation, manner of preparation, ingredients and other variables used in the process. It is the fruit flavor and the amount of pectin which gives these products their main special characteristics and flavor.
In Tanzania production of jams jellies and marmalades is growing and their use in homes; especially in the urban areas occupy an important place among processed fruit products.
