TZS 388: 2012 Passion fruit juice – Specification

Passion fruit juice is one of the important fruit drinks which is highly valued because of its being rich in nutrients such as vitamins C and minerals such as potassium. It is also rich in beta carotene. It is a yellow coloured drink produced from a passion fruit Passifrola adulis spp.

Passion fruit juice is locally produced in Tanzania and some is imported. As such it was necessary to prepare this Tanzania Standard in order to ensure the quality and safety of Passion fruit juice produced in the country and which is imported.
