TZS 389: 2013 Fruit nectars – Specification
Fruit nectars are ready to drink beverage with a smooth texture which makes them popular. They are products normally considered as concentrated fruit juices/ pulps mixed with water and sugar. Fruit nectars are manufactured with a purpose to increase varieties of fruit and vegetable products in the local and external market.
In order to ensure the safety and quality of fruit nectars for the consumers, it has been necessary to prepare this Tanzania Standard. The standard is intended also to guide regulators, manufacturers and consumers of fruit nectar traded locally and for export market.
