TZS 1433: 2011 Pilau masala – Specification

Pilau masala is a mixture of spices used in the preparation of spiced rice commonly known as pilau so as to improve organoleptic qualities of cooked rice. Usually composed of four or more well dried and milled spices. This mixture can be in equal ratios of spices or depending on consumers’ preferences.
This measure has being prepared to ensure the safety and quality of pilau masala produced and or traded in the country.
