The rationale of the measure

These regulations shall apply to sugar and allied products which are sold or manufactured for sale in Zimbabwe.

Description of the measure

(3) "Sun sweet" sugar shall—
(a) be of no deeper colour than light golden brown, and be readily soluble in cold water; and
(b) have a taste of sweetness, which may be suggestive of molasses; and
(c) not contain more than—
(i) 0,4% of moisture;
(ii) 0,3% of sulphated ash;
(iii) 0,3% of reducing sugars.
