The rationale of the measure

These regulations shall apply to sugar and allied products which are sold or manufactured for sale in Zimbabwe.

Description of the measure

(3) Confectionary shall be the product made from made from sugar and, additionally or alternatively, dextrose or other sweetening substances used for food, with or without permitted colouring ingredients, harmless flavouring substances, emulsifiers, thickening substances and other harmless food substances such as butter, wholesome edible fats, egg solids, milk solids, chocolate, nuts and fruits, but shall not contain any harmful ingredients.
