- 289.Self-raising flour shall be an intimate mixture of flour and sodium bicarbonate and one or more of the acid reacting substances, namely, monocalcium phosphate,sodium acid pyrophosphate,or sodium aluminium phosphate, may be seasoned with common salt, and shall evolve not less than 0.4 percentum of carbon dioxide when tested by the prescribed method.
