- 342.Glucose syrup or liquid glucose shall be the purified concentrated aqueous solution of nutritive saccharides obtained from starch, may contain sulphurous acid or its salt (see Part XIB of the Nineteenth Schedule), and shall contain not less than 70per centum of total solids, not more than 1.0 per centum of total ash and not less than 20 per centum of reducing sugars calculated as d-glucose on a dry basis.
