Description of the measure
70.Rum shall be a potable alcoholic distillate obtained from sugarcane products fermented by the action of yeast or a mixture of yeast and other organisms, or a mixture of such distillates which has been aged and held for a period of not less than two years in small wood, may contain caramel, and be flavoured with fruit or other botanical substances or flavouring, and shall contain not less than 34.49 per centum of absolute alcohol.
71.Blended rum shall be a potable alcoholic distillate obtained from sugarcane products fermented by the action of yeast or a mixture of such distillates to which neutral spirit may be added, may contain caramel and be flavoured with fruit or other botanical substances or flavouring, and shall contain not less than 34.49 per centum of absolute alcohol
