- 120.No person shall sell a food colour for use in or upon food that contains more
than-
(a)3 parts per million of arsenic, calculated as arsenic, as determined by the
(b)10 parts per million of lead, calculated as lead, as determined by the prescribed method; or
(c)except in the case of iron oxide and lakes, a total of 100 parts per million of iron and copper, calculated as iron and copper; and if other heavy metals are present, the colour shall be deemed to be adulterated. - Reference of the measure
