These regulations shall apply to all canned fruits which are sold or manufactured for sale in Zimbabwe.

Description of the measure
6 (1) Fruits for canning shall be suitably prepared from clean, sound, fresh or preserved fruits which are free from insect infestation or contamination from unacceptable levels of pesticide residues as laid down by the joint Food and Agricultural. Organization and the World Health Organization Codex Alimentarius Commission

Description
Canned fruits i.e product prepared from clean, sound fruits or a mixture of such fruits of proper ripeness, with or, without the addition of sugar, salt, vinegar and other ingredients, other than food additives, with such quantities of potable water as may be necessary, and packed in hermetically sealed or firmly and accurately closed containers and heat-processed to ensure preservation;
