Description of the measure

2(2) Imported plums and prunes shall be exempted from the provisions of subregulation (1 ),
provided that the plums and prunes --
(d) do not contain biological or chemical contaminants in quantities or at levels that exceed the maximum limits prescribed in terms of the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act, 1972 (Act No. 54 of 1972).
4(5) No consignment of plums and prunes classified as "Class 1" or "Class 2" or "Lowest Class" shall contain biological or chemical contaminants in quantities or at levels that exceed the maximum limits prescribed in terms of the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act, 1972 (Act No. 54 of 1972).
