6.-(1) No food shall be imported into Tanzania Mainland through ports of entry other than those listed in the First schedule of these regulations

(2) Notwithstanding the provisions of sub-regulation (1) of this regulation, food may in special circumstances be imported through ports of entry other than those listed in the first schedule of these regulations if the food importer makes prior arrangement consented to by Tanzania revenue authority and the Tanzania Food and Drugs Authority and any other relevant institutions as the case may be.
