Description of the measure

2. Prohibition of the sale of comfrey, foodstuffs containing comfrey, and jelly confectionery containing konjac
The sale of the following foodstuffs is, in terms of section. 2(1)(a)(iv) of the Act, prohibited:
(a) Comfrey (common comfrey) (Symphytum ofichale), prickley comfrey (S. aspenrm) and Russian comfrey( S.x uplandicum);
(b) foodstuffs containing comfrey (Symphytum officinale), prickley comfrey (S.asperum) or Russian comfrey(S . x uptandicum); and
(c) jelly confectionery containing konjac.
