The rationale of the measure

This Tanzania Standard was prepared with a view to guide all those concerned in ensuring the production of safe and good quality mangoes for local and export markets. 

Description of the measure

This measure prescribes requirements for mangoes from Mangifera indica (L.) of Anacardiaceae family intended for direct human consumption. It also describe the sizing, quality and size tolerances , uniformity, contaminants, handling, storage and transport, Sampling, packaging, marking and labelling.
