These regulations shall apply to preserves, other than jam and marmalade prepared for consumption by diabetic persons and labelled accordingly, table-jelly and honey which are sold or manufactured for sale in Zimbabwe.

Description of the measure
2) Jam, marmalade or fruit-jelly—
(a) shall not contain added mineral acid, gelatin, starch or other foreign substance or any substance not derived from the fruit named on the label referred to in sub-section (1) of section four or any other label borne by the package concerned;
(b) may contain added—
(i) citric, tartaric or lactic acid or citrates, tartrates or lactates of the quality specified in the British Pharmacopoeia;
(ii) permitted colouring ingredients or permitted preservatives;
(iii) dextrose, glucose syrup, invert sugar, honey, spices or synthetic flavouring substances;
(iv) in the case of fruit deficient in pectin, pectin or pectinous material derived from plant sources:
Provided that added pectin, calculated as calcium pectate, shall not exceed—
(i) 0,3% in jam and marmalade; and
(ii) 0,6% in fruit-jelly
