The rationale of the measure: The objective of this measure to guide processors/exporters/importer in achieving quality of cashew kernels required for export and import market.
The international trade for cashew kernels is still conducted in imperial units. The grade designations used at present by the trade for grading cashew kernels have therefore been specified, both in metric and imperial units.
Description of the measure: This measure specifies requirements and methods of sampling and test for kernels obtained from the cashewnut tree (Anacardium occidentale, Linnaeus) for human consumption
