- Description of the measure
- This measure gives code of practice for cleaning of petroleum storage tanks which have hazardous operation owing to the presence of flammable fuel vapour in the tanks. The sludge and scale removed from the tanks should also be regarded as hazardous. This measure provides cleaning and disposal of sludge. It does not cover the aspects of fire and safety precautions that are covered by fire regulations and installation safety codes.
