The rationale of the measure

This standard specifies requirements for
a) fire hose delivery couplings to fit hose of nominal diameter 45 mm, 65 mm, 70 mm and 100 mm,
b) suction couplings to fit hose of nominal diameter 80 mm, 90 mm, 100 mm, 115 mm, 125 mm, 140 mm, and 150 mm,
c) connectors, and
d) branch pipes and nozzle connections for delivery hose.

Visually examine and measure the component for compliance with the appropriate requirements of clauses 4 to 6 (inclusive), for which tests to assess compliance are not given in 7.2 and 7.3.
