Description of the measure
Permissible defects when inspected in accordance with clause 5, structural timber shall not contain more than a combination of, a. visually stress-graded timber, the appropriate maxima of knots and other defects laid down in table 1 to 3 and b. in case of mechanically stress-graded or proof-graded timber the appropriate maxima of defects laid down in table 2 and 3 except that in the case of proof-graded timber, the requirements for general slope of grain is not applicable
