Description of the measure

2. Restriction of importation of growth promoters
No person shall, for the purpose of promoting growth in any animal, import, distribute,
dispose of, purchase, sell or supply any of the substances specified in the Schedule except
under and in accordance with a written permit issued by the Minister for the time being
responsible for agriculture or by a public officer authorized by the Minister in that behalf.
