Description of the measure

7 (13) Terminal or network equipment which complies with approved technical conditions, shall display a type approval label provided by the Commission.
(16) A type approval label shall contain—
(a) the logo of the Commission;
(b) the type of the equipment; and
(c) the alphanumeric identifications of the equipment.
(17) The Commission shall publish a list of type approved telecommunications and radio communications equipment, to be imported and distributed in Uganda.
18 (2) Before a label is applied on any equipment or cabling, the following requirements shall be complied with—
(c) a manufacturer or importer shall—
(i) conduct quality assurance programs;
(ii) be satisfied that quality assurance programs are conducted; and
(iii) have regard to the results of quality assurance programs;
(d) a manufacturer or importer shall obtain certification from the Commission that reasonable efforts have been made to comply with the specified standards
