The rationale of the measure

These regulations shall apply to sugar and allied products which are sold or manufactured for sale in Zimbabwe.

Description of the measure

5. (1) Refined sugar shall —
(a) be white, odourless, granulated sucrose soluble in cold water; andB6
(b) havea taste of sweetness free from foreign flavour; and
(c) be free from dirt and other extraneous matter; and
(d)not contain more than—
(i) 0,08% of moisture;
(ii) 0,02% of sulphated ash;
(iii) 0,02% of reducing sugars.
