US IEC 60104:1987, Aluminium-magnesium-silicon alloy wire for overhead line conductors This Uganda Standard is applicable to aluminium-magnesium-silicon alloy wires of two types having different mechanical and electrical properties for the manufacture of stranded conductors for overhead power transmission purposes. It specifies the mechanical and electrical properties of wires in the diameter range 1.50 mm to 4.50 mm. The two types are designated Type A and Type B respectively. US IEC 60086-1: 2011, Primary batteries — General This Uganda Standard is intended to standardize primary batteries with respect to dimensions, nomenclature, terminal configurations, markings, test methods, typical performance, safety and environmental aspects. As a primary battery classification tool, electrochemical systems are also standardized with respect to system letter, electrodes, electrolyte, nominal and maximum open circuit voltage. US IEC 60076-5:2006, Power transformers — Part 5: Ability to withstand short circuit This Uganda Standard identifies the requirements for power transformers to sustain without damage the effects of overcurrent originated by external short circuits. It describes the calculation procedures used to demonstrate the thermal ability of a power transformer to withstand such over currents and both the special test and the theoretical evaluation method used to demonstrate the ability to withstand the relevant dynamic effects.
