The Consumer Protection ( Control of Imports) ( Amendment No 4) Regulations 2015

Restriction on importation of Plastic bags:

Import permit from Ministry of Industry ,Commerce and Consumer Protection is required prior to importation and upon fulfillment of the following conditions:

(i) Certificate of Registration from the Director of Environment as being an importer of exempted plastic bag, as specified in the First Schedule of the Environment Protection ( Banning of Plastic Bags) Regulation 2015;
(ii) Clearance from the Director of Environment.
