TZS 1425: 2011 Textiles – Sewing threads specification – Sewing threads made wholly or partly from synthetic fibres
Sewing threads made wholly or partly from synthetic fibres are used for industrial and domestic stitching of the corresponding fabrics. It is therefore important that a sewing thread meets the minimum requirements of the end-use. This measure specifies these minimum requirements.
There are some sewing thread types e.g. aramid nylon, polyester cotton core sheath and polyester cotton component plied, which are not manufactured locally but are included in the standard for reference purposes.
