Description of the measure
285.Enriched flour shall be the flour to which has been added thiamine, riboflavin, nicotinic acid and iron in a harmless carrier and in such amounts that one kilogram of enriched flour shall contain not less than 4.5 milligrams and not more than 5.5 milligrams of thiamine, not less than 2.7 milligrams and not more than 3.3 milligrams of riboflavin, not less than 35.5 milligrams and not more than 44.4 milligrams of nicotinic acid or niacin amide, not less than 28.9 milligrams and not more than 36.7 milligrams of iron, and may contain calcium carbonate in an amount that will provide in one kilogram of enriched flour not less than 1,111 milligrams and not more than 1,444 milligrams of calcium.
