Description of the measure

89.Wine shall be the product of alcoholic fermentation of the juices of grapes or other fruits, may have added to it yeast, concentrated grape juice, sugar, dextrose, or invert sugar, or aqueous solutions of any of the yeast foods, brandy or fruit spirit, carbondioxide or oxygen, and may be treated, prior to filtration, with a strongly acid cation exchange resin in the sodium ion form or weak basic ion exchange resin in the hydroxyl form and, if food additives or food colours are used in the course of manufacture of wine,their use and limits shall conform to those specified in the Nineteenth Schedule.
