The rationale of the measure: This Law shall determine the preventive and other measures to fight against domestic animal diseases in Rwanda.

Description of the measure: Imported meat shall be clearly marked with stamps indicating abattoirs of their origin and the date on which they were slaughtered. Regarding packed animal products there shall be indicated the manufacturing and the expiry date. For industrial products, the package shall also indicate the percentage of food nutrients contained in the animal product.
