- 124.Ginger, whole or ground, shall be the washed and dried or decorticated and dried rhizome of Zingiber officinale Roscoe, and shall contain not more than 12 percentum of moisture, and, on the dry basis, not less than 11.4 per centum of cold water extractive as determined by the prescribed method, and 1.9 per centum of ash soluble in water, and may contain not more
than 1.1 per centum of calcium, calculated as calcium oxide, 8 per centum of total ash, and 2.3 per centum of ash insoluble in hydrochloric acid
125.Limed ginger or bleached ginger, whole or ground, shall be the ginger coated with calcium carbonate, and shall conform to the standards provided in regulation 126, except that it shall contain not more than 2.5 per centum of calcium, calculated as calcium oxide and not more than 12 percentum of total ash. - Reference of the measure
