- 123.Cloves, whole or ground, shall be the dried flower buds of Eugenia caryophyllata
Thumb, and shall contain-
(a) not more than-
(i)5.0 per centum of clove stems;
(ii)8.0 per centum of total ash;
(iii)0.5 per centum of ash insoluble in hydrochloric acid;
(iv)10 per centum of crude fibre;
