Description

Food supplements

A food supplement is a product that:
is intended to supplement the diet that bears or contains one or more of the following dietary ingredients: vitamins; minerals; amino acids; a herb or other botanical product, a dietary substance for use by humans to supplement the diet by increasing the total daily intake, or a concentrate, metabolite, constituent, extract, or
combinations of these ingredients;
is intended to be taken orally in the form of tablet, capsule, powder, soft gel, gel cap, granules or liquid;
is not represented for use as a conventional food or as a sole item of a meal or the diet;
is labelled as dietary supplement.
