The rationale of the measure
These regulations shall apply to edible fats and oils which are sold or manufactured for sale in Zimbabwe.

Description of the measure
(3) "Compound lard" or "lard compound" shall—
(a) be composed of a mixture of lard with dripping or other animal fat, with or without cotton-seed, stearin or other vegetable fat;
(b) contain not less than 25% of lard;
(c) be free from objectionable odour or taste;
(d) contain no other substance except common salt;
(e) have a free fatty acid content of not more than 1,5%, expressed as oleic acid;
(f) bear a label on every package, in type no smaller than 18 point, indicating the approximate proportion of each ingredient.
