Description of the measure: 21. (1) Knife edges shall—
(a) be firmly secured in position;
(b) be properly aligned; and
(c) bear through out the entire length of the parts designed to be in contract.
(2) Knife edges and bearings shall be of hardened steel, a gate or an approved material and the load carrying parts shall not show scratches when tested by means of the application of a superfine smooth file,
