These regulations shall apply only to condiments which are sold or intended for sale in Zimbabwe.

Description of the measure
9 (1) Black pepper shall—
(a) be composed of the dried immature berry of Piper Nigrum L.;
(b) not yield more than 7% of total ash;
(c) not contain
(i) less than 6,5% of non-volatile ether extract; or
(ii) any foreign substance.
(2) White pepper shall—
(a) be composed of the dried mature berry of Piper nigrum L. from which the outer coating has been removed;
(b) not yield more than 2,5% of total ash;
(c) not contain
(i) less than 6,5% of non-volatile ether extract; or
(ii) any foreign substance.
(3) Ground mixed pepper shall—
(a) be composed of ground white and black pepper;
(b) not contain
(i) less than 50% of ground white pepper; or
(ii) any foreign substance.
(4) "Compound pepper" or "pepper compound" shall—
(a) be composed of a mixture of pepper with harmless vegetable substances;
(b) contain not less than 50% of pepper.
