- 6. Prohibition of substances and preparations listed in Schedule I
Subject to section 7, no person shall at any time produce, manufacture, trade by wholesale or retail, distribute, transport, possess, supply, transfer (free or for payment), purchase, use, import, export or transit across Mauritius any of the plants, substances and preparations listed in Schedule 1.
7. Medical or scientific research or teaching
(1) For the purposes of medical or scientific research or teaching or the use of the forensic science services, the Permanent Secretary may authorize a person to cultivate, produce, manufacture, acquire, import, use or hold plants, substances and preparations listed in Schedules I, II and III in quantities not exceeding those strictly required for the purpose in question. - Reference of the measure
