The rationale of the measure

These regulations shall apply to citrus juice and citrus drink which is sold or manufactured for sale in Zimbabwe,.but shall not apply to citrus juice and citrus drink intended for use by diabetics

Description of the measure

(3) Sweetened citrus juice—
(a) shall conform to the requirements of subsection (1):
Provided that sucrose shall be added;
(b) shall contain no synthetic colouring ingredient;
(c) shall comply with the following specifications (outlined in a table showing the type of juice present, minimum percentage of standardized citrus juice and maximum percentage of sucrose content;
(d) shall be labelled "SWEETENED………….JUICE" in type no smaller than 10 point, the name of the citrus present, and in the case of a blended juice, the word "BLENDED" and the, names of the kinds of citrus present being inserted in the blank space.
