The rationale of the measure
These regulations shall apply only to meat and preparations of meat which are sold or intended for sale in Zimbabwe.

Description of the measure
Beef sausages and beef sausage-meat—
(a) shall be composed of clean, sound and wholesome skeletal musculature and fat, primarily of the bovine, and the total meat content shall be not less than 75%, and the meat protein nitrogen shall be not less than 1,75%; and
(b) shall not contain more than 6% of starch; and
(c) may contain permitted preservatives, spices, harmless-flavouring substances and added phosphates not exceeding 0,5%.
