Description of the measure: 1.In these regulations "the Regulations" means the regulations published under Government Notice No. R. 1600 of 22 July 1983.
Regulation 2 is hereby amended as follows:
2.(a) No foodstuff, which has been irradiated shall be sold unless the Minister or the Director-General has in writing, approved the sale of such irradiated foodstuff.
(b) Approvals referred to in sub-regulation 2(a) shall be in line with the Guidelines for Monitoring Irradiated Foodstuffs in South Africa.
