Description of the measure
1. In these regulations the act means the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act, No 54 of 1972, and any expression to which a meaning has been assigned in the Act shall bear such a meaning and, unless inconsistent with the context- Beverage means any powder or liquid intended for sale as a drink for human consumption, and shall include natural mineral water and bottled water.
2. For the purpose of section 2(1) (b) (i) of the act, in so far as it is applied to and is applicable to foodstuffs, the following foodstuffs are hereby deemed to be contaminated or impure:
(a)Any beverage containing more than 10 mg per kilogram or benzine in the ready to drink form.
(b)Any liquor product exceeding the specified maximum level of methanol as stipulated for different liquor products under the Liquor Products Act No 60 of 1989
