Description of the measure

This measure covers requirements for fresh pineapples (Ananas comosus L.). It provides guidance on the quality of pineapples from the harvesting, handling, grading, transport and packaging stages to marketing. It also specifies provisions concerning quality, sizing tolerances and presentation of the fruit to the market. The measure does not include pineapples for industrial processing.
