A: Protection of human life and health 
Description of the measure
Article 5: In foods produced by mixing different ingredients, for which the addition of food additives is permitted, the maximum amount thereof should not exceed, in the final product, the ammount authorized for each component, taking into account their proportion in mixture.
Article 6: The semi-finished products may contain food additives in doses higher than permitted, provided that the final product will respect the maximum levels set by this Regulation.
Article 7: It is allowed to use mixtures of food additives belonging to the same class, with the condition that the sum of the quantities of each component, expressed in the allowed maximum dose percentages, does not exceed one hundred (100) and does not contain dangerous interactions harmful to humans.
Article 8 (1): For flavoring foods, it is allowed the use of natural and artificial substances referred to in the Codex Alimentarius lists of flavoring, excluding those listed in group C and dealing with substances which are not safe for food use.
Article 8 (2): Natural flavors must be obtained by chemical processes, from edible parts of plants or parts of animals, according to good manufacturing practices
Article 8 (3): Natural or artificial flavorings can be added with adensants, antioxidants, preservatives, tencioactives, thinners, fasteners and supports.
Article 9: All additives and processing aids must meet the physico-chemical characteristics defined by the specifications of the Codex Alimentarius
