- These regulations shall apply to all canned vegetables which are sold or manufactured for sale in Zimbabwe.

- Canned vegetables: general
6 (1) Vegetables for canning shall be suitably prepared, from clean, sound, fresh or preserved, young succulent vegetables which are free from insect infestation or contamination from unacceptable levels of pesticide residues as laid down by the joint Food and Agricultural Organization and the World Health Organization Codex Alimentarius Commission.
(3) Canned vegetables or vegetable products shall be free from grit or other extraneous contamination, and shall be pasteurized or heat-treated to an extent necessary to avoid spoilage and to render them free from viable micro-organisms injurious to health. - Reference of the measure
