Environment Protection (Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) bottle Permit) Regulations 2001 hese Regulations require permits for the bottling of beverages (not defined) in PET bottles. The permit must be obtained by the "responsible person", i.e. the owner of, or the person responsible for the management and control of, an enterprise involved in the bottling of a beverage in a PET bottle. The Schedules set out forms for an application and the permit. If the holder of a permit fails to comply with any of the conditions of permit, the Department of the Environment may revoke the permit. An annual return shall be submitted by a producer on the production, exportation and recycling of PET bottles. Botswana Meat Commission Act his Act establishes the Botswana Meat Commission as a body corporate. It is established for the purpose of carrying on the business of purchasing cattle, slaughtering cattle or hoof and preparing the products for sale. The Commission may promote schemes for the improvement of the standard and condition of cattle (sec.4). The Commission may form one or more companies under the Companies Act to carry on any business and carry out any purpose which the Commission itself may carry on or carry out (sect. 6). The Commission shall establish a Stabilization Fund to be used for stabilizing prices at which livestock are purchased (sect. 15). Establishment Of Statutory Measure And Determination Of Guideline Prices Sorghum his Regulation imposes a levy on threshed, ripe seed of plants of Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench (excluding seed sorghum or sorghum utilized as silage): (a) that is sold by or on behalf of a producer thereof; (b) that is processed or converted or caused to be processed or converted into a sorghum product by or on behalf of the producer thereof, if such sorghum product is intended to be sold or disposed of; (c) that is imported or brought into the Republic of South Africa; and (d) that is exported from the Republic of South Africa, and in respect of which a levy has not previously been paid. Establishment Of Statutory Measure And Determination Of Levies On Peaches & Nectarines his Statutory Measure of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries, acting under sections 13 and 15 of the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act, prescribes a levy that shall be used to fund development of the peaches and nectarines industry: research projects, information and technology transfer; plant improvement functions and certification; market information and statistics; communication; trade and market access; and transformation and training.
