TZS 1425: 2011Textiles – Sewing threads specification – Sewing threads made wholly or partly from synthetic fibres

This measure specifies minimum requirements for industrial and domestic sewing thread containing synthetic material. It deals with industrial and domestic sewing threads made from the following substrates and combination of substrates:
a) Continuous filament polyester
b) Staple fibre polyester
c) Airjet textured polyester
d) False twist textured polyester
e) Continuous filament nylon 6.6
f) Staple fibre and Continuous filament aramid
g) False twist textured nylon 6.6
h) Polyester and cotton core spun (Continuous filament polyester core, cotton sheath)
i) Polyester and polyester core spun (Continuous filament polyester core, staple spun polyester sheath)
