TZS 927:2007 Plastic carrier bags – Specification

This measure specifies the minimum requirements of plastic carrier bags which shall be manufactured, imported and/or distributed in the country. It specifies requirements for the thickness for purpose of enhancing re-usability and re-cycleability in line with the available technology.

The type of ink, which can be used for printing on the plastic material, has also been prescribed for the same purpose.
