6.1. Marking on helmets
6.1.1 The helmet shall be legibly and indelibly marked with the following information in a position where the marking is protected from obliteration:
(a) The manufacturer's name or trade mark or trade name;
(b) the batch identification;
(e) the date of manufacture.
6.1.2 The helmet shall be marked with the following information:
(a) The size or range of sizes;
(b) the mass of the helmet.
6.2 Label supplied with helmet: Every helmet shall have: a label , in both official languages, the information given in (a) – (d) and, when relevant, (e) below:
(a) For adequate protection the helmet must fit closely.
(b) The chin strap must be fastened correctly and under tension at all times. A chin cup must not be fitted to the chin strap.
(c) The helmet is made to absorb some of the energy of a blow by partial destruction of its component parts and, even though damage may not be readily apparent, any helmet subjected to a severe impact should be replaced.
(d) To maintain the full efficiency of the helmet there must be no alteration to the structure of the helmet or its component parts.

- 7.2 Marking
The following information shall appear on each container, or on a label securely attached to each container, in prominent, legible and indelible marking in type of such size and presentation as is prescribed by regulations promulgated under the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act, 1972 (Act 54 of 1972), and the Trade Metrology Act, 1973 (Act 77 of 1973):
a) the registration number and full name and address of the manufacturer, producer, proprietor, or controlling company or, in the case of bottles packed for any other person or organization, the full name and address of that person or organization;
b) words indicating the type of disinfectant or detergent-disinfectant and its active disinfecting ingredient (see table 1 ) and whether it is suitable for use for cleaning-in-place operations;
c) the nominal volume or mass (as appropriate) of the contents, in plain type and in a colour that affords a distinct contrast to the colour of the container or label;
d) the batch identification; or
e) the production date of the batch (or both);
f) general instructions for use for the various purposes for which the disinfectant or detergent- disinfectant is suitable, including the recommended dilutions that allow the product to comply with the requirements of 4.2 (disinfecting efficacy), for the exposure period and test organism stated in the test method for each purpose;
g) where applicable, the pH value at the recommended dilution (see (f) above);
h) the first-aid treatment and the name of any antidote that may be used;
i) where applicable, warnings that:
1) the disinfectant or detergent-disinfectant should be stored in closed bottles in a dry place at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C, protected from intense light and apart from flammable materials, food products and packaging material;
2) contact of the undiluted disinfectant or detergent-disinfectant and its fumes with skin and eyes should be avoided;
3) rubber gloves and where necessary, goggles, should be worn when the disinfectant or detergent-disinfectant is being handled;
4) unless recommended by the manufacturer, the disinfectant or detergent-disinfectant should not be mixed with other incompatible substances (such as soap and other anionic detergents) where relevant;
5) some disinfectants, such as iodophors, could stain certain porous materials (such as plastics) and corrode certain metals (such as copper, iron, silver alloys and aluminium); and
6) the efficacy of the disinfectant could be compromised if surfaces are soiled;
j) the storage period or shelf life of the diluted disinfectant or detergent-disinfectant, when diluted to the lowest recommended concentration (highest use dilution);
k) the expiry date of the disinfectant or detergent-disinfectant;
I) if. in the case of disinfectants based on glutaraldehyde, the disinfectant or detergent-disinfectant is supplied in the form of a homogeneous liquid and an activator, a statement that the liquid and the activator shall be mixed before use as a disinfectant;
m) the strength designation and, in the case of coal-tar type disinfectants, the nominal Rideal-Walker coefficient (see 5.9.5);
n) in the case of bottles for black coal-tar type disinfectants, the following statement: "Black coal-tar type disinfectant liquid is not recommended for use with exceptionally hard water";
0) a substantiation of specific virucidal claims;
p) the product name (which shall not be misleading to the consumer); and

- 4 Markings
4.1 The child restraint shall be clearly and indelibly marked with the manufacturer's name, trade name or trade mark, and part number, and with a means of identification for traceability purposes.
4.2 One of the plastics parts of the child restraint device (such as the shell, impact shield , or booster cushion, but other than the belt(s)) shall be clearly and Indelibly marked with the year of manufacture.
4.3 If the restraint is to be used in combination with an adult safety belt, the correct routing of the webbing shall be clearly indicated by means of a drawing permanently attached to the restraint. If the restraint is held in place by the adult safety belt, the correct routing of the webbing shall be clearly marked on the product by colour coding, as follows:
a) red when the restraint is installed forward-facing; and
b) blue when the device is rearward facing.
The same colours shall be used on the labels on the device that illustrate the methods of use.
The separate routes of the lap and shoulder straps of the safety belt shall each be distinguished on the product by colour coding, or by words (or both).
4.4 The marking defined in this clause shall be visible with the restraint in the vehicle. In the case of group restraints, this marking shall also be visible with the child in the restraint.
4.5 Rearward-facing child restraints shall have a permanently attached label, visible in the Installed position, that bears the warning:
"EXTREME HAZARD - DO NOT USE ON PASSENGER SEATS EQUIPPED WITH AIRBAGS".
4.6 In the case of child restraints that can be used forward facing and rearward facing, the following words shall be included:
8 (e) The child restraint manufacturer shall provide information on the packing boxes to the address to which the customer can write to obtain further information on fitting the child restraint in specific cars.
j) In the case of special-needs restraints, the following information shall be clearly visible at the point of sale without removing the packing:
This special-needs restraint is designed to give extra support to children who have difficulty in sitting correctly in conventional seats. Always consult your doctor to make sure that this restraint system is suitable for your child. - Reference of the measure

12. A container in which an imported fertilizer for sale in the Republic is packaged must, in addition to any details that the Registrar may approve, must be marked or labelled with the details that a comparable fertilizer,manufactured in the Republic, would be required to have.
17. (1) The following details relating to a fertilizer must be printed on a label affixed to a container of such a fertilizer or marked on such container and such details should appear in the following order:
(a) The registered trade mark, if applicable, and the trade name under which such fertilizer has been registered;
(b) The registered name of such fertilizer.
(c) The registered plant nutrient present in such fertilizer, expressed in the form and manner intended in sub regulation (2).
(d) The registration number of such fertilizer together with a reference to the Act, expressed as "Reg Nr. ... .... Act No. 36 of 1947".
(e) The mass in the case of a solid and the volume or mass in the case of a liquid of such fertilizer at the time of packaging thereof, notwithstanding the provisions of the Trade Metrology Act, 1973 (Act No.77 of 1973); and
(9 The name, address and contact details of the registration holder.
(2) The details referred to in sub regulation above are those that, in terms of Part 1 of Annexure A, paragraphs 1 to 9 of the Requirements for the Registration of Fertilizers in the RSA, are required or approved to be indicated, and
(a) the element symbol of the particular plant nutrient must be followed by the registered content of the plant nutrient expressed in for macronutrients and for micronutrients, rounded off to the lower whole number;
(b) should more than one plant nutrient require to be indicated, the details given in sub regulation should be given with respect to each such plant nutrient in the order required or approved;
(c) besides the details in sub regulation and (b) the details in Annexure A should be given;
(d) should the sum of the total plant nutrients be given it should be given between brackets after the details indicated in sub regulations (b) and (c); and
(e) in the case of a low chlorine mixture indicating the potassium carrier is optional.
(3) The details mentioned in sub regulations and (2) must be given on one label that is affixed to one side of the container of the particular fertilizer or given on one side of such container and such details shall be clearly legible symbols, letters and figures. Print size of 8 points is recommended where applicable.
(4) Instructions for use in respect of a fertilizer must appear on a label that is affixed to the container of such a fertilizer or if space on such label is limited on the back of the container or on a pamphlet placed in such container or the invoice as intended in regulation 18 provided that instructions for use are compulsory in the following cases:
(a) if such a fertilizer has been registered to be applied by foliar application:
(b) if such a fertilizer is also registered as an animal feed, agricultural product or animal product in terms of the Act;
(c) if such a fertilizer is intended for use in hydroponics;
(d) if such a fertilizer is a home or garden fertilizer.
(5) The instructions for use in sub regulation (4) or those that may be used optionally must be as approved by the Registrar.
Supply of invoices
18. (1) Should a fertilizer with the exception of a prescription mixture be sold loose:
(a) the invoice must contain the details required in Regulation 17;
(b) a sample of the fertilizer, excluding agricultural lime and organic fertilizers, shall be taken provided that such sample:
(i) is taken by a method described in Annexure A;
(ii) it is divided into two containers of at least 250 g or 250mm that are sealed and labelled in such a manner that the fertilizer can easily be identified as that described in the invoice;
(c) one container of sample referred to in subparagraph (ii) must accompany the invoice and the other be retained by the seller for at least 6 months.
(2) On delivery, an invoice must be handed over to the person to whom the fertilizer is delivered or his representative: provided that such a person acknowledge receipt of same in writing. - Reference of the measure

- 1.1 This compulsory specification covers the requirements for safety glass and other safety glazing materials used in buildings in accordance with Part N of the National Building Regulations, and in any other application in which breakage due to human contact may result in serious injuries. Products within the scope of this compulsory specification include but are not limited to: Stock sheets of laminated safety glazing materials, i.e. sheets of safety glazing produced by a manufacturer equipped to laminate safety glass that will be cut to size by an installer;
• Toughened safety glass, i.e. panels of flat safety glazing manufactured from flat glass, cut to size, and then tempered;
• Polymeric glazing, i.e. sheets of transparent plastics that can be cut to size;
• Any glazed products that may be subjected to human impact;
• Any other material claimed to be safety glazing.
1.2 Safety glazing used in automotive applications is excluded. - Description of the measure
- 3.5 In addition to the markings prescribed in SANS 1263 - 1, the NRCS approval number shall appear permanently and legibly on all safety glazing material in letters at least 2,5 mm high: "NRCS XXXXX."

- 8. LABELLING
(1) (a) Each container of a Category A Group I hazardous substance imported, manufactured or packed in the Republic shall be clearly and conspicuously labelled with -
(i) the name of the product and the chemical name of the specific hazardous substance or substances contained therein;
(ii) the name and address of the supplier;
(iii) a skull and crossbones symbol, together with the words "Poison" and "Vergif";
(iv) the words "Act 15 of 1973: Group I"; and
(v) the words "Keep out of reach of children" and "Hou buite bereik van kinders".
(b) The said symbol shall conform to one of the symbols appearing in Annexure D of these regulations and shall cover at least one-tenth of the surface area of the label and be at least 1 cm² in size.
(c) A label shall be placed on one or more surfaces of the container so that it can be read horizontally when the container is set down normally.
(d) An outer package containing one or more inner containers shall be labelled with the skull and crossbones symbol prescribed in paragraph (a), the words "Poison" and "Vergif" and the chemical name of the hazardous substance or substances.
(2) (a) A Category B Group I hazardous substance which is imported into the Republic shall be labelled in accordance with subregulation (1).
(b) A Category B Group I hazardous substance which is manufactured or packed in the Republic shall bear a label which has been approved by the Registering Officers appointed under the Fertilizers, Farm Feeds, Agricultural Remedies and Stock Remedies Act, 1947 (Act 36 of 1947). The label shall include directions regarding the disposal of the container when empty.
(3) A Group I hazardous substance acquired for mining or industrial purposes and placed in smaller containers for transfer from one section to another within an establishment may, if there is a wall-chart in the latter section indicating the risks involved in using the substance, the precautions to be observed and the first aid treatment, be conspicuously labelled only with the name of the substance.
(4) A Group I substance acquired by a laboratory and placed in smaller containers for transfer from one section to another section of such laboratory maybe labelled only with the name of the substance. - Reference of the measure
