Description of the measure
6 (1) No person shall sell any food containing mineral oil, or any food which has come into contact with mineral oil during its manufacture, production or preparation:
Provided that—
(i) prunes, currents, sultanas and raisins may contain no more than 0,3% of mineral oil; and
(ii) subject to the provisions of subsections (2) and (3), food shall contain no more than 0,2% of mineral oil, if, of necessity,
it has come into contact with some surface lubricated or greased with mineral oil.
(2) Any liquid mineral oil used as a lubricant with which food may come into contact shall comply with the specifications for liquid paraffin laid down in the current edition of the British Pharmacopoeia.
(3) Any semi-liquid mineral oil used as a greasing agent with which food may come into contact shall comply with the specification for white soft paraffin laid down in the current edition of the British Pharmacopoeia.

7 (1) Ginger shall—
(a) be composed of the washed and dried or decorticated and dried rhizome of Zingiber officinale;
(b) not contain—

(iii) more than 1% of added calcium compound, calculated as CaO; and
(iv) more than 10% moisture; and

(3) Ground ginger shall—

9.(1) For the purposes of section 8 of the Act and subject to the provisions of this section ,the container in which the farm feed is sold shall be durable and legibly marked or labelled in English or an of the vernacular languages with-
(a) the brand name under which the farm feed is registered ; and
(b) the particulars specified in the Second Schedule , the numeric values of which shall be the same as the relevant information contained in the application for registration; and if desired the name and address of the person in whose name such feed is registered may be similarly given.
(2) In the case of protein concentrate feeds, the label shall bear a statement of the proportions in which it is recommended that the concentrates shall be fed with the grain meal.
(3) In the case of poultry mashes, the label shall state whether the feed is intended for feeding with or without scratch grain.
(4) Where a farm feed contains urea, biuret ,antibiotic , drugs or hormones the label shall if required by the registering officer in terms of section 4(4) of the Act, as a condition of registration bear-
(a) a statement giving instructions for use, and
(b) an appropriate warning
(5) Where a label or inscription upon a container claims a content of any constituent ,other than those set out in the Second Schedule , the content shall be registered and in the case of –
(a) inorganic constituents, the elemental content shall be stated except for salt where the maximum percentage, expressed as NaC1 shall be stated; and
(b) added vitamins, antibiotics, drugs, and hormones, the content of the of the active constituent shall be stated; an shall be used at the levels accepted by the Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe and the Registration number of the shall be quoted on the application for registration.
(6) Any commercial bags should bear a registration number of the feed under consideration.
(7) Best before dates should bear a registration number of the feed under consideration.

7. Cider
(1) Cider shall be the product of the alcoholic fermentation of apple juice , pear juice or a mixture of the juice of apple and pears with or without the addition of potable water , sugar, or concentrated apple juice and shall contain not less than 2,5 per centum and not more than 19 per centum of absolute alcohol by volume.
(2) one hundred millitres of cider , measured at a temperature of twenty degrees Celsius shall contain –
(a) not less than two grams and not more than twelve grams of total solids;
(b) not more than two grams of sugar calculated as reducing sugars ; and
(c ) not more than nought, three five per centum weight by volume of the volatile acid calculated as acetic acid.

8 Distilled alcoholic beverages , and alcoholic cordials , liqueurs
(1) Distilled alcoholic beverages, alcoholic cordials or liqueurs shall contain not less than thirty-seven , nought per centum by volume of absolute alcohol unless the label prominently states the actual percentage by volume of absolute alcohol contained therein.
(2) Alcoholic cordials , liqueur and aperitifs –
(a) Shall be products obtained by the mixing or distillation of grain , spirit, brandy or other distilled spirits with fruit flavours, leaves or other botanical substances or their juices, or with extracts or essences derived by infusion, percolation or maceration of such other botanical substances.
(b) May have added to them during the course of manufacture, sucrose of dextrose or both as required for the type of alcoholic cordial, liqueur or aperitif;
(c) Shall contain not less than seventeen per centum of absolute alcoholic by volume
(d) May contain natural of artificial flavouring preparations and colours as permitted by the food and standards (preservatives, additives, and prohibited substances) regulations, 1972.

10. Whisky

(2) blended whisky, shall be so described on the label, may be produced from a blend of whisky and neutral sprit.
(3) whisky and blended whisky may contain a flavouring or caramel
(4) no person shall make any claim with respect to the age of whisky other than the period during which the whisky has been stored and aged in small wood for at least three years:
Provided that any period not exceeding six months during which such whisky was held in other containers may be claimed as age.
(5) blended whisky may be described as containing whisky of a particular age ; provided that such age is assessed in the manner referred to in subsection (4)
(6) scotch whisky shall be whisky distilled in Scotland as Scotch whisky for domestic consumption in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom
(7) Irish whiskey shall be whiskey distilled in the United Kingdom or in the Republic of Ireland as Irish whiskey for domestic consumption in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland
(8) Canadian whiskey , Canadian rye whiskey or rye whisky shall be whisky distilled in Canada as Canadian whisky for domestic consumption in accordance with the laws of Canada
(9) Any other specific whisky of whiskey whose specificity is based on its being distilled in a specific region or area of a country shall comply with the laws of that country as well as the requirements of these regulations.
