A regulation was issued late 2019 repealing the clause on the Botswana Meat Commission (BMC) Act that gave BMC the mandate as the sole exporter of cattle and its edible products, and instead mandated the Minister of Agricultural Development and Food Security to consider applications for any person wishing to export beef and its products. |
